Menotropin, also known as human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG), is a medication comprising a mixture of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), purified from the urine of postmenopausal women. Its main use is in the treatment of fertility disturbances, especially to stimulate the ovaries in women for assisted reproductive technologies and to promote proper ovarian follicle growth and maturation.
